Requirements to Apply
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) upon hire
- Minimum of 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in cardiovascular or related perioperative specialty

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) to join our high-performing surgical services team in Spokane, WA. The CVOR RN provides specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This position plays a pivotal role in patient safety, clinical precision, and surgical excellence. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll assist surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout all phases of surgery—from preparation and monitoring to post-procedure recovery—ensuring the highest standards of care and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Monitor patient status and communicate promptly with the surgical team
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control policies
- Assist surgeons and support staff to ensure seamless workflow during operations
- Provide patient and family education regarding perioperative care and recovery
- Document nursing care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives
