The Role
As a Vascular RN, you'll be responsible for triaging patient needs, providing one-on-one education, and supporting post‑op and chronic vascular care management in an outpatient clinic setting. This role is critical to patient outcomes and the clinic's coordination of care.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Patient Triage & Clinical Support- Assess and prioritize incoming patient nurse notes via phone triage.
- Emergent:
Immediate callback (e.g., chest pain, stroke symptoms). - Urgent:
Callback within 2 hours (e.g., medication reactions). - Non-urgent:
Return calls within the day or next morning.
- Deliver individualized education related to vascular diagnosis, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on prescribed medications and post‑procedure care.
- Provide post‑discharge instructions and review abnormal labs for follow‑up.
- Coordinate with providers and communicate care updates.
- Support follow‑up procedures and documentation of patient interactions.
- Serve as an educator and vascular health resource for patients, staff, and the community.
- Act as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and external providers.
- Licensure:
Active RN license in Washington State. - Certifications:
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support). - Experience:
3–5 years in critical care or vascular‑related settings preferred (not required). - Education:
ADN or BSN from an accredited institution. - Skills:
Strong clinical judgment, compassionate communication, patient advocacy, and multi‑tasking in a high‑paced environment.
- This role is 100% in‑office, split between our DHEC and DMOB clinic locations in Spokane.
- Moderate noise level, frequent use of phone and computer systems.
- Occasional lifting of equipment up to 25 lbs.
- Involves full range of motion and hands‑on patient care activities.
- Hourly Rate: $34.52 – $52.83 (DOE).
