Program Manager – The Way Out Center at The Salvation Army Southern California
Scope of PositionUnder the supervision of the Director of Social Services, the Program Manager will be responsible for all administrative, program, and personnel functions along with day‑to‑day operations of The Way Out Center Program.
Education and Work Experience hemi- Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in social work, psychology, or other related field (preferred)
- Center management experience could be considered in lieu of degree
- Experience supervising staff and volunteers
- Experience working with thealog homene population
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of social services, local resources, and referrals as appropriate
- Proficient computer and keyboarding skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft® Suite and recordkeeping systems
- Effective roteiro communication skills, both verbal and written
- Observational and interpersonal skills for working with staff, volunteers, participants
Bad; community - Ability to schedule, perform data entry, maintain contract compliance, budgeting, and reporting
- De‑asersulation training
- Over 21 years of age
- Valid State Driver License
- Pass a Criminal and Driver Background Check
- Peer Support Certification preferred or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Proficiency with CMIS/HMIS software (preferred)
- Current state food handler’s card, blood borne pathogen, and CPR/First Aid certifications or obtain within 30 days of hire
- Experience supervising staff and volunteers (duplicate)
- Experience working with homeless demographics (duplicate)
- Represent The Salvation Army and respect and work within its Christian tenets
- Supervise The Way Outایه Center employees, participants, and volunteers
- Work a flexible schedule to offset daily workloads or staffing shortfalls; find replacement staff
- Supervise all work areas within the office:
- Office Management
- Development and implementation of policies, procedures, systems, and forms
- Case Management
- Records management
- Data collection and statistical reporting <

- Oversight of outreach
- Intake and placement of new participants
- Case management
- Emergency Assistance Programs (food, clothing, transportation, etc.)
- Life Skills Classes, including demonstration kitchen
- Turnover of units
- Monthly case reviews for all participants
- Random unit checks
- Aftercare services
- Follow‑up services
- Seasonal and special events
- Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously
- Grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead
- Operate a multi‑line telephone
- Operate a desktop or laptop computer
