Communication Strategist (Water Business Group)

Pay: $48,699 – $92,760 per year.

As part of the Water Business Group, you will help communities manage water for generations to come, supporting public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience.

Responsibilities
  • Develop content marketing strategies and communication plans for specific initiatives and projects.
  • Lead global and local communication strategies with internal partners, creative, marketing and communications teams.
  • Assist in developing and managing an editorial calendar.
  • Work with subject‑matter experts to write white papers, feature articles, thought‑leadership pieces, and social media posts.
  • Ghost‑write and edit blogs, social media posts, papers and presentations.
  • Help develop collateral pieces and marketing campaign materials.
  • Research, write and edit project narratives and case studies.
  • Monitor industry best practices and maintain a repository of trends.
  • Support event management as needed.
  • Bring creative ideas to the table.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a closely related field.
  • Previous consulting and/or creative agency experience.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in communications (social media, event planning, community engagement, target marketing, writing, public involvement, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently with multiple teams and also in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Positive interpersonal communication skills.
  • High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues.
  • Commitment to being an active participant in our employee‑owned culture.
  • Comfortable working with senior leaders and managing cross‑functional efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and tactically in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment.
  • Committed to quality, continuous improvement and HDR values.
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
