The Opportunity with Mc Kinstry

We are currently seeking an Inventory Manager - Modular Products to join our growing Offsite Manufacturing team in Spokane, WA
. The Inventory Manager - Modular Products is responsible for leading all activities related to inventory control and material movement at manufacturing facilities, including:

  • Oversees daily inventory operations, including receiving, storing, tracking, and distributing materials.
  • Supports inventory operations across multiple production lines and manufacturing sites including Seattle, Spokane and additional locations as required.
  • Develops and maintains inventory control procedures.
  • Operates within an ISO-regulated manufacturing environment, introducing additional compliance and process complexity relative to traditional inventory manager roles
  • Collaborates with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and value stream management teams.
  • Monitors and optimizes inventory levels.
  • Implements inventory control systems.
  • Leads root-cause analysis for variances.
  • Ensures compliance with safety and quality.
  • Manage end-to-end inventory operations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for inventory and stock control design, configuration, and implementation as part of the forthcoming OSM ERP deployment
  • Develop, improve, and maintain inventory control and management processes, and ensure optimal utilization of available technology tools.
  • Monitor and report on key inventory management KPIs.
  • Manage Inventory Specialists in their task and assignment completion, provide coaching and feedback for skill development and improvement.
  • Coordinate with value stream and operations teams.
What You Need to Succeed at Mc Kinstry

Knowledge:

  • Inventory management principles and best practices.
  • End-to-end inventory workflows and control processes.
  • Related systems and tools.
  • Cross-functional operational knowledge in a manufacturing context.
  • Working knowledge of ISO-regulated environments and the ability to operate inventory control processes in compliance with applicable ISO standards.

Abilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and resolve variances.
  • Analyze inventory data and lead rootcause problem solving.
  • Monitor and report inventory KPIs.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Lead and develop inventory staff (where applicable).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain, operations, engineering or similar and two years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment; or
  • 6 or more years of inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment.
