Overview
Darigold is looking for a Lab Technician to join our team in Spokane, WA. The Laboratory Technician must possess the desire and ability to perform analytic tests on company products. The Laboratory Technician’s role is to ensure that all products' analytical, micro, and organoleptic properties comply with product and regulatory specifications.
Responsibilities- Plating lab samples for Coliform, Standard Plate Count, and Mold/Yeast
- Reading and interpreting all plating results
- Documenting all data clearly and accurately
- Understanding possible causes or contributing factors for plates not meeting standards
- Operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting the Milk analyzer
- Babcock Butterfat Testing
- Appendix N Testing (Antibiotic Testing)
- Phosphates Testing
- Instrument and Thermometer Calibration
- Minimum of an AA with studies in microbiology; BS preferred
- One year experience in dairy or food quality assurance systems is a plus
- Ability to communicate and work well with others
- Good organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to multi-task
- Must be detail oriented
- Excellent attendance and work history
- Good understanding of GMPs
- Other duties may be assigned
Wednesday through Friday: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM
