Mechanical Assembler Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The role involves assembling fabricated parts according to blueprints, examples, or oral instructions using hand tools, power tools, and welders. You will assemble motors, gear boxes, and drives as per manufacturer specifications, perform welding, test and calibrate mechanisms, package products for shipping, and load trucks using forklifts and overhead cranes.
Responsibilities- Assemble fabricated parts using hand tools, power tools, and welders.
- Follow blueprints, examples, or oral instructions to assemble motors, gearboxes, and drives.
- Test and calibrate mechanisms to ensure proper functionality.
- Package products for shipping and load trucks using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- 2 years of experience in assembly is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Working knowledge of steel shapes and mechanical assembly processes.
- Experience with overhead cranes and welding is advantageous.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems and pneumatics.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to provide personal hand tools and possess strong math skills.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 – $25.00/hr.
