Job Description
As a Punch Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating an Amada turret punch press. Your duties will include loading and unloading tools, operating the machine control, maintaining the machine, deburring parts during production, and performing secondary operations on punched parts.
Responsibilities- Operate the Amada turret punch press efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload tools required for production.
- Perform routine maintenance on the punch press machine.
- Deburr parts while in production to ensure quality.
- Execute secondary operations on punched parts as needed.
- Follow work instructions to form parts, focusing on sheet metal and metal fabrication.
- Experience with machine operation and press setup.
- Proficiency in operating Amada brand machines, particularly the Amada turret punch press.
- Experience in CNC operations using a computer console.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for machine setup and part forming.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school level education or equivalent specialized training.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of procedures.
- Experience with turret press is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The work environment is a sheet metal manufacturing shop that involves welders, powder coaters, brake operators, and quality inspectors. The Spokane facility is new and exclusively manufactures parts for a major client. It is a small team environment with plans to grow to over 60 people, offering a great opportunity to join early.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 – $27.68/hr.
