Machine Operator Job Description
We are seeking a skilled machine operator with the expertise in cutting metal materials using saws or plasma tables and preparing items for welders and other shop parts.
The role involves operating band saws, plasma and oxy-fuel tables, waterjet, CNC press brake, cranes, and forklifts.
Experience with saws or plasma tables is ideal, while press brake and waterjet skills can be learned on the job.
Cut metal materials using saws or plasma tables.
Prepare items for welders and other parts of the shop.
Operate band saws, plasma and oxy-fuel tables, waterjet, CNC press brake, cranes, and forklifts.
Set up and maintain both vertical and horizontal band saws.
Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Maintain working knowledge of steel shapes.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for deburring and grinding.
Experience in CNC, saw operation, and machine operation.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
At least 2 years of sawing experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Strong math skills.
Forklift and overhead crane experience.
Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with Burny controls and overhead crane operations is a plus.
Experience with plasma cutting and press brake operations.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

This is a Contract position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 – $25.00/hr.
