Machine Operator Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled machine operator with the expertise in cutting metal materials using saws or plasma tables and preparing items for welders and other shop parts.

• The role involves operating band saws, plasma and oxy-fuel tables, waterjet, CNC press brake, cranes, and forklifts.

• Experience with saws or plasma tables is ideal, while press brake and waterjet skills can be learned on the job.

• Cut metal materials using saws or plasma tables.

• Prepare items for welders and other parts of the shop.

• Operate band saws, plasma and oxy-fuel tables, waterjet, CNC press brake, cranes, and forklifts.

• Set up and maintain both vertical and horizontal band saws.

• Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.

• Maintain working knowledge of steel shapes.

• Utilize hand tools and power tools for deburring and grinding.

• Experience in CNC, saw operation, and machine operation.

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

• At least 2 years of sawing experience preferred.

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.

• Strong math skills.

• Forklift and overhead crane experience.

• Familiarity with Burny controls and overhead crane operations is a plus.

• Experience with plasma cutting and press brake operations.

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

This is a Contract position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $25.00/hr.
