This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business helping our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers and other large retailers serve producers, and animal owners throughout the United States. As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing direction for the workflow and scheduling functions of a high volume, fast-paced manufacturing facility. This position is also responsible for managing production personnel and executing production for multiple departments.

• Promote a safety culture and awareness within their area. Set a leading example by supporting and adhering to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Ensure all tasks are performed using proper SOPs/GMPs, safety procedures and other regulations.
• Ensure Pre-Operation Inspections are performed before starting the Shift/work orders.
• Ensure inventory is accurate and properly maintained by following SOP.
• Maintain accurate records of information such as daily receipts, inspection results, etc.
• Direct others in keeping with production schedules and goals.
• Monitor and update Workday time keeping as needed and approve time each week.
• Review daily paperwork.
• Lead, coach, train, direct, and discipline employees.
• Partner with multiple departments to execute department orders and goals are met.

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ months leadership background OR High School diploma with 2-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Communicator, decision maker, quality orientation, technical/professional knowledge, customer focus, time management, and oriented toward process improvement.
• Strong demonstrated computer skills.
• Ability to coordinate, provide direction, influence, and coach staff.
• Ability to work with management to reach and maintain production schedules and goals.

• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to build positive relationships that promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to adapt and utilize other programs.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills.
• Strong understanding of food safety and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure without supervision.
• Willingness to help the production team by filling in on the line when short-handed.
• Willingness to run production on Saturdays when needed.

Spokane, WA

Plant operates 24 hours/5 days a week; weekends as needed. This role will mainly be afternoon shift and other shifts as necessary to keep up with business needs.

2nd Shift - 2pm to 10:30pm, with the expectation of additional hours as needed

$69,040 to $103,560

In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges
