* Follow all industrial safety guidelines, apply required safety training, and actively promote a safe and healthy work environment at all worksites.
* Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, coworkers, and site personnel at all times.
* Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies in accordance with contract standards, following all cross-contamination procedures.
* Sweep, wet/dry mop, vacuum, and dust offices, hallways, high-traffic areas, doorways, stairwells, and building entrances and exits according to established schedules and contract requirements.
* Collect and remove trash and recyclables from lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower and locker areas, and office spaces in compliance with contract standards and schedules.
* Restock janitorial and facility supplies daily to ensure areas are properly maintained.
* Clean shower stalls, damp wipe surfaces to remove dust, restock supplies, and mop floors while following cross-contamination procedures.
* Maintain janitor lockers (J-lockers) by practicing good housekeeping in accordance with EM 385-1-1 requirements, including daily cleaning and organization.
* Clean, rinse, and properly store all equipment after each use.
* Operate wet/dry vacuum equipment in assigned areas according to the established schedule.
* Secure and lock doors after cleaning is completed in assigned areas.
* All other duties as assigned.
* High School Diploma/GED required
* 0 – 3 years of previous custodian or janitorial experience preferred
* Combination of experience and education will be considered
* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
* May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
* Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
* Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
* A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
