OverviewJohnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to serve as a scientific and clinical source for Janssen Oncology products, providing balanced, objective scientific information and education to health care professionals (HCPs) and internal partners. The MSL builds and manages external relationships, develops territorial strategy, and supports clinical and investigative research initiatives.
Responsibilities- Provide fair, balanced, objective scientific information and education to HCPs and internal partners as required by scientific and business needs.
- Maintain a territory strategic plan and deliver clinical activities with identified oncology leaders, institutions, community practices, and advocacy organizations.
- Build external relationships with health care provider teams (MD, PA, NP, RN, Pharm.
D.) through virtual and in-person engagements. - Execute research initiatives, including clinical trial support, site identification, and investigator launch meetings.
- Deliver data and scientific insights in a clear, audience-appropriate manner and respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries.
- Support field-based partners, provide regional and local internal support, and collaborate with Sales Learning and Development and other Oncology MSL teams.
- Comply with current regulatory, health care compliance guidelines, and corporate policies for appropriate business conduct and ethical behavior.
- Pharm
D, PhD, MD, or other advanced medical degree (NP, PA). - Minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience (clinical, research, pharmaceutical).
- Significant experience giving presentations and supporting travel up to 70% (overnight, weekend commitments).
- A valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Reside within the defined territory.
- Knowledge or experience in Oncology and/or Urology.
- Prior experience as an MSL.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and remote technologies.
Competitive salary ($115,000–$197,000 base), annual performance bonus, company car through the FLEET program, generous time‑off benefits (vacation, sick time, holidays, parental leave, volunteer leave, military spouse time‑off), and access to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans (401(k)).
