About Volunteers of America

Volunteers of America (VOA) is a licensed behavioral health organization delivering services without clinical walls. Care is provided where people are—through shelters, medical respite, supported housing, and other community-based programs—integrating substance use treatment, behavioral health, case management, and support services to meet immediate needs and support long-term recovery and stability.

Our work is grounded in low-barrier, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches that recognize the realities of homelessness, housing instability, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
