Job Overview
The Hospice Aide provides personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, prescribed therapeutic exercises, and basic housekeeping services essential to the comfort and cleanliness of patients receiving home care or hospice services. These services are specified by a written plan of care supervised by a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living.
- Perform prescribed therapeutic exercises.
- Conduct basic housekeeping tasks to maintain patient comfort and cleanliness.
- Follow the written plan of care developed and supervised by a Registered Nurse.
- Completion of a certified nursing assistant course or equivalent training.
- Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- Driving required as part of the role, with proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
- At least 1 year of previous home health/hospice experience in a related role.
