Chaplain; Per Diem - Hospice

Overview

This is a per diem/on call position supporting the Spokane area.

The Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of others in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, the chaplain is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, polices, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.

• Provide professional spiritual care and ministry to patients, families, and staff in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support the mission, values, policies, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility.

• Master’s Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies (or equivalent education/experience acceptable to chaplaincy boards).
• Coursework/Training and four clinical pastoral education units.
• Within 3 years of hire, National Chaplain Certification.

Posted wage ranges are subject to variation based on experience and other applicable factors. Base pay ranges listed; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
