If so, the Community Worker 1 - PFAS Navigator position at the Spokane Regional Health District may be the job for you.
This is a short-term temporary role funded for approximately four months, with the possibility of extension depending on future funding and program needs. It is located at our College Ave Main Campus and starts at $20.71 per hour. While the standard schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the PFAS Navigator will spend substantial time working in the field and may need occasional flexibility in hours to meet with homeowners.

This position is primarily responsible for community outreach to households within the West Plains PFAS boundary. The Navigator will assist households in obtaining assessments for their water system and help them get connected with appropriate resources based on results of assessments. The Navigator will gather information from impacted households and assist them in getting filtration systems and other appropriate resources.
Some Essential Functions Include:
- Contacting and serving as the primary point of contact for households in the PFAS boundary.
- Completing household questionnaires and site assessments and providing educational materials.
- Referring and assisting households with water system assessments, filtration systems, remediation resources, and assistance programs.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and providing updates to the Task Force.
