* Job Description:
**** Purpose of Job:
** Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by managing patient care at assigned pharmacy by performing the following duties:
*
* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
** In addition to Pharmacy Technician duties, the following are responsibilities of the Pharmacy Support Supervisor.
* Provides direct supervision of pharmacy support staff.
* Promotes positive staff relations that promote efficient patient care standards.
* Interviews and selects new candidates in coordination with site Pharmacy Manager and site CA.
* Responsible for training, orienting and mentoring of all new pharmacy support staff at designated clinic, as well as assessing and supporting on-going training as needed.
* Coordinates and/or participates in staff in-service training as directed.
* Supervises development of continuing education plans.
* Ensures that pharmacy support staff is meeting or exceeding quality goals.
* Orders pharmacy medications and supplies.
* Responsible for managing pharmacy inventory
* Performs other duties as assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.
Ensures smooth day-to-day operations of assigned pharmacy:
* Pharmacy Support Supervisor I:
Pharmacy averages < 1000 scripts per week
* Pharmacy Support Supervisor II:
Pharmacy averages > 1000 scripts per week

* Qualifications:
** Education/
Experience:
Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB or NHA) certification required. Washington locations must have active Pharmacy Technician Certification license with WA Department of Health at time of hire. Idaho locations must have active Certified Pharmacy Technician Registration license with Board of Pharmacy at time of hire. Minimum of two years’ Pharmacy experience preferred.
Skills:
Computer skills required. Ability to effectively manage a diverse staff. Excellent interpersonal and organization skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Pharmacy terminology and accurate spelling ability required. Compassion for patients required. BLS (CPR/AED) required.
