Sterile Processing Technician, On-Call – Shriners Children’s

The Sterile Processing Technician provides assistance in Central Supply and the Surgical area for infant, preschool, school-age, and young adult (up to age 21) patients. Shriners Spokane is looking for a PRN Sterile Processing Technician to join the team.

Pay range: $20.18–$30.27 per hour, based on experience and departmental equity.

All employees are eligible for medical coverage on their first day. In addition, upon hire all employees are eligible for a 403(b) and Roth 403(b) Retirement Saving Plan with matching contributions of up to 6% after one year of service. Responsibilities
  • Implement decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of surgical supplies and equipment.
  • Assemble case carts containing consumable supplies and instrumentation.
  • Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments.
  • Identify and assemble multiple types of surgical instruments and instrument sets.
  • Inspect instruments, replace or send for repairs.

This is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements
  • 1 year working with surgical instruments.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Central Supply Processing Department Technician (CSPDT) certification.
