Job SummaryThis position is responsible for providing peer support services for patrons enrolled in services at House of Charity (HOC). The patrons enrolled are currently individuals experiencing homelessness who may have behavioral health challenges as well as barriers to housing, employment and recovery. As a member of the Respite team, the Peer Support Specialist provides clients with support, education, and community resource navigation from a lived-experience lens to promote clients accessing permanent housing, recovery and self-sufficiency, with a specific focus on supporting the behavioral health needs identified by patrons in the respite program.
