Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Solid Waste Engineer located in Spokane, WA. The Solid Waste Engineer will be responsible for designing and overseeing solid waste management systems, preparing technical reports, conducting site assessments, performing regulatory compliance evaluations, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. The role also includes the preparation of permits, cost estimates, and planning documents to ensure effective waste management strategies that align with environmental standards.
Qualifications- Expertise in Solid Waste Management, including the design and development of landfill facilities and waste diversion programs
- Proficiency in Engineering Design, Technical Report Writing, and preparing Permit Applications
- Knowledge of Environmental Regulations, Compliance Analysis, and Sustainability Practices
- Strong Project Management and Team Collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe
- Proficiency in design software and applications used in civil and environmental engineering
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in solid waste projects and the ability to travel to project sites when required
