Job Summary

Assistant Professor in Management to begin September 16, 2026
. The School of Business, in the College of Professional Programs at Eastern Washington University invites applications for a tenure‑track position. The successful candidate is expected to publish high‑quality, impactful research in peer‑reviewed academic journals in Management and exhibit effective teaching, curriculum development, and pedagogical innovation. Primary teaching areas will include Organizational Behavior, Organization Theory, and Human Resource Management for undergraduate and MBA programs.

Candidates will teach in‑person and online courses, advise students, participate in student‑learning assessment, and serve the university, college, department, and the field of Management. Applications are open until further notice; screening begins February 9, 2026. Salary: $112,399.

The School of Business was established in 1965 and delivers an accessible, experiential, and innovative education to prepare students for leadership and professional success. It is AACSB accredited and offers undergraduate majors, an MBA, and a Master of Accounting. Faculty are active scholars and dedicated teachers who value collaboration and innovation in both pedagogy and research.

• PhD or DBA in Management or closely related Business disciplines from an AACSB accredited program; ABD candidates close to completion will be considered;
  PhD must be earned by September 16, 2026.
• Established record of publishing research in peer‑reviewed Management journals or potential for high‑quality impactful scholarly research.
• Evidence of a promising pipeline of research in progress relevant to Management and teaching.
• Evidence of meeting Scholarly Academic designation under AACSB standards.
• Evidence of excellence in teaching in Management or a related discipline.
• Ability to teach Organizational Behavior, Organization Theory, and Human Resource Management courses at undergraduate and/or graduate level.
• Experience teaching courses in an online mode.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with students, faculty, and administration.
• Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach supportive of the needs of all students, faculty, staff, and the public.
