Join us as a General Surgeon at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center located in Spokane, WA
.
- Clinic Responsibilities. Be present and on time for any scheduled clinics/surgeries start times as documents by physical presence in the clinic or at the scheduled start time.
- Communication of Test Results. Provide notification of test results for patients receiving care.
- Medications. Follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients.
- Discharge Education. Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all general surgery clinical or surgical patients.
Schedule: Full-time, 7A-3:30P Mon-Fri. No call, weekends, or federal holidays.
Period of Performance: Base period 90 days 3/1/2026-5/31/2026 with three 90-day renewal options through 2/28/2027 (1-year total).
Qualifications- Education. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Certification. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgery. Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any US State, Territory, and Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. Active BLS and DEA required.
- Experience. Must be able to demonstrate technical proficiency in skills necessary to fulfill job requirements.
- MTs must be proficient in spoken and written English in accordance with VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Chapter 3, Section A, paragraph 3.j.
- Subject to background/security investigation.
- Must pass TB test.
- Complete and online onboarding process.
- Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

They conduct diagnostic-only examination services on an as-needed basis. These services may take place in their private office, established clinics located across the country, or during travel opportunities for group screening events.
