Summit U Worship + Tech Coordinator

Position Summary

The Summit U Worship Coordinator will report directly to the Worship Pastor and play a key role in helping the U campus grow in relationship with Jesus and spiritual formation through worship. The ideal candidate will be skilled in recruiting, equipping, and inspiring volunteers while creating relevant and engaging worship environments. This role is responsible for organizing and executing all Worship and Tech team functions at the Summit U campus, and being the primary worship leader.

The Worship Coordinator will also collaborate closely with the Summit U Pastor and campus team to carry out the vision and mission of Summit.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage volunteer intake and assign responsibilities to team members.
• Input sermon notes on Sunday mornings.
• Schedule worship and tech volunteers for Sunday services.
• Become proficient in Summit U’s tech systems, including setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within Planning Center as needed.
• Regularly monitor the status of all Sunday service teams.
• Collaborate with Worship staff on set selection for Sunday services.
• Assist with Sunday service setup and execution.
• Work with ministry leaders to plan and execute events that include worship.
• Assist in managing band resources and playback for Sunday services.
• Volunteer oversight: partner with Worship staff to audition, onboard, and train new worship volunteers.

Staff Expectations

• Attend relevant Worship & Tech team meetings.
• Attend weekly all-staff meetings (Tuesdays at 12:00 PM).
• Attend bi-weekly U campus staff meetings.
• Attend bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with the Worship Pastor.
• Fulfill Worship & Tech expectations for all-church and ministry events as assigned.
