The Role
The Superintendent is responsible for leading all on-site construction activities from mobilization through completion with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and field execution.
At Cornerstone, Superintendents are trusted leaders on the jobsite. This role is for a field professional who takes pride in planning work well, holding high standards, coordinating trades effectively, and delivering projects that are safe, organized, and built the right way.
You will partner closely with Project Managers to execute the plan, solve problems in real time, and maintain a jobsite environment where expectations are clear and teams can perform at a high level.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for ground-up commercial projects and tenant improvements
- Develop and manage project schedules, including short interval look-ahead schedules
- Manage schedules, subcontractors, safety, and quality control to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors
- Build strong relationships with owners, design teams, and trade partners
- Maintain comprehensive daily logs and reports; monitor site progress and resolve issues as they arise
- Ensure compliance with building codes, company policies, and OSHA standards
- Conduct regular site meetings and progress updates with stakeholders
- Mentor and supervise assistant superintendents and craft team members
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Proficient with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Excel and Bluebeam)
- 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction on projects valued greater than $3 million
- Proven track record managing multiple trades on fast-paced projects
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
- OSHA 30 and CESCL certification preferred
- Valid and insurable driver’s license
- Position subject to pre‑employment drug screening
- Takes pride in running clean, safe, and well-organized jobsites
- Values planning, sequencing, and clear communication over chaos and fighting fires
- Holds high standards for safety, quality, and craftsmanship
- Enjoys leading trade partners with respect and accountability

- Competitive salary $90,000 – $115,000 DOE
- Front‑loaded PTO (not accrued)
