The Role
As a Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for the receipt, evaluation, and pricing of donated items. You will lead, supervise, train, and assign duties to volunteers, ensuring a meaningful experience. This role reports to the Store Warehouse Manager.

  • Drive Habitat’s donation truck within Spokane for pickups, assessing and securing donations.
  • Assist in unloading donations, processing, pricing, and moving items to the sales floor.
  • Screen donations for hazards, non-saleable items, and disposal costs.
  • Determine fair market value of donations using available resources.
  • Participate in safety training, identify hazards, and contribute to safety improvements.
  • Implement improvements in donation receiving processes with the warehouse manager.
  • Become forklift certified and operate equipment as needed.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using a point-of-sale system, handling various payment methods.
  • Who You Are

    • Strong communication skills and positive community representation.
    • One year of customer service, warehouse, or sales experience preferred.
    • Ability to lead, supervise, and train volunteers and groups.
    • Knowledge of merchandising techniques and store procedures.
    • Forklift certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days.
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
