This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take a lead role in marketing and communications across all our HTA events and campaigns. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to project manage high‑quality, on‑brand activities in a busy and rewarding environment. The HTA has 1,350 members, including garden retailers, growers, landscapers, and suppliers to the garden industry. We lobby and campaign for our members within the horticulture industry and have an excellent reputation. We provide our members with the opportunity to learn, innovate, and network with others in the industry. Our political lobbying team works to enable the best conditions for our members to flourish across the UK and our research and insights team provide impactful data to help our members run productive and resilient businesses.
We have been running the National Garden Gift scheme since 1962, the biggest garden gift card scheme in the country, locking in about £40 million of consumer spend to horticulture and our members’ businesses.

As Senior Marketing and Communications Executive, you will develop, implement and manage innovative and effective marketing communications on behalf of the HTA. This will involve collaboration with teams across the wider organisation to promote and protect the garden industry across all channels. You will deliver professional, strategically linked campaigns and communications to increase member engagement and grow the profile and reputation of the HTA as the leading trade voice of the UK Garden industry.
Key responsibilities:- Marketing communications: Take the lead in planning, coordinating and delivering all marketing communications for all our events and campaigns across the year. Work closely with colleagues across departments, advise on content, formats and channels, create annual campaign communication plans, and manage the marketing calendar.
