In this role, the successful Building Regulations Principal Designer or similar will be responsible for supporting both clients and interdepartmental teams, to meet compliance requirements under UK Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act. In addition, you will also be responsible for reviewing designs for compliance, acting as a trusted advisor during the pre-construction and design processes. On top of this, you will be a primary point of contact for both clients and colleagues alike, you will provide technical expertise and guidance on statutory regulations as well as health and safety standards.
Finally, you will be a representative for the company in regard to meetings, external engagements etc The ideal Building Regulations Principal Designer or similar will have a background within the Construction/Surveying/Architecture/Civil/Structural Engineering sector, or a related field. In addition, you will have a strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act. On top of this, you will have a professional membership with a relevant body (RICS, CIAT, CABE etc).
Finally, you will have a full, valid UK driver's license as well as access to your own vehicle.
