Assisted Living | Non-Certified – Training Provided
As a Nursing Assistant in our Assisted Living community, you’ll have a direct impact on residents’ daily lives. You’ll support residents’ physical and emotional well-being by assisting with activities of daily living while helping create a warm, respectful, and home-like environment.
You’ll be supported by a caring team of caregivers and leaders who are committed to Americare’s culture of recognition and Hometown Hospitality. This role is ideal for someone who has a heart for service and wants to begin a rewarding career in senior care — no certification required; we will train.
SummaryThe Nursing Assistant provides direct personal care and support to residents under the direction of licensed staff and community leadership. This role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, promoting dignity and comfort, and serving as a positive ambassador to residents, families, and visitors.
This role may also be known asNursing Assistant, Caregiver, Resident Care Assistant, or Personal Care Assistant.
What You’ll Do- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, meals, and mobility
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through compassionate interaction and companionship
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to care team members
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and home-like living environment
- Provide courteous support to residents, families, and visitors
- Work collaboratively with caregivers, nurses, and community leadership
- Maintain professional behavior and represent your community positively
- Follow resident care plans and comply with state and federal guidelines
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Willingness to complete training and learn new skills
- No certification or prior healthcare experience required
- On-the-job training provided
- Interest in future certification or career growth in senior care is a plus
- Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
- Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance
- Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
