* Summary:

*** The Clinic Evaluation Nurse is responsible for providing direct and indirect physical, psychosocial and spiritual care for patients with cancer and other related disease processes
* The oncology nurse will also act as the patient’s advocate and educator
* Performs and documents initial and routine assessments and evaluations on oncology patients
* A resource to patients and families and directs them to the appropriate support services
* Performs the skills required to care for oncology patients receiving chemotherapy
* Provides coordination of services across the continuum of care.
* Attends/engages in continued education opportunities related to oncology care annually
** Requirements:
*** IA RN or PN license (or compact state)
* Minimum of 1 year nursing experience
* Oncology Certification (OCN) is preferred but not mandatory
* Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification required prior to completion of orientation/chemo administration
*
* Schedule:

*** 72 hrs a pay period
* M-F
* 7:30a-5p (4 days per week) or 8-4:30 (4 & 5 days per 2 weeks)
* The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
