** Position Highlights
**** Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
** Spencer Hospital Surgery Center performs a multitude of specialties including: general, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, ENT, and endoscopy averaging 550+ surgeries per month. Surgery business hours are Mon-Fri with minimal on call weekend and holiday rotations.
** Responsibilities:
*** Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the Operating Room area
* Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
* Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
* Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients
** Requirements:**
* ** One year experience as an Surgery RN Circulator required
*** Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
* IA RN license or Multistate
* BLS and ACLS are required or at time of hire (in-house education provided)
** Schedule - Two Shifts Available:
*** 70 or 72 hours a pay period
* 6:30a-4p or 6:30a-5p
* Minimal on-call weeknights and weekend rotation
* The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
