Registered Nurse – Spearfish Canyon Healthcare

Spearfish Canyon Healthcare is currently searching for talented Registered Nurses to join our team. Our facilities deliver outstanding care and foster strong employee bonds. We offer short‑term to long‑term care and a variety of living options and professional clinical services.

Monthly compensation: $1,000 per month for the first 30 days. Retention bonus: $12,000. Daily pay available.

• Assume the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out the duties of this job.
• Receive reports at the beginning of each shift, assess resident status, and evaluate their need for continued or immediate care.
• Delegate responsibility for direct resident care to appropriate nursing personnel according to needs.
• Be responsible for all phases of direct resident care within the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act.
• Ensure nursing staff perform all restorative measures recommended in the plan of care and required by each resident’s condition.
• Report all incidents of change in resident’s condition to the Director of Nursing.
• Assist physicians on rounds and keep them informed of the status of each resident, changes in condition, and medical emergencies.
• Plan working schedule to allow for education, supervision, and evaluations of performance for all nursing personnel during the shift.
• Maintain completeness of resident charts and individual care plans, making sure entries are timely, informative, and descriptive of resident’s condition.
• Write daily nursing notes on all skilled residents and monthly summary notes on each resident according to posted schedule.
• Be responsible for timely execution of all physician orders, including laboratory testing, specialized therapy orders, and preparation and administration of all medications as indicated.

• Valid RN license in good standing.
• Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program.
• Completion of orientation required by company policy.
• Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Background check proving no criminal activity.
• Provide satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment within three (3) days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
