Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate a Resident’s condition and develop an appropriate OT rehabilitation plan.
- Help Residents to improve their mobility.
- Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
- Inform Residents what they should anticipate in different stages of their recovery and how they will handle each situation.
- Maintain Resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by protecting Residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Contribute to inter-disciplinary team efforts in resident care.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing with state employed.
- Minimum 1 year experience working as a COTA.
- Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus!
- Must be able to pass a background check.
