Personal Financial Associate

Highmark Federal Credit Union, established in 1940, is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative dedicated to serving members across 11 counties in Western South Dakota and Eastern Wyoming. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Personal Financial Associate located in Spearfish, SD. The primary purpose of this position is to assist Highmark Credit Union in living out our Mission, “To educate and inspire our Highmark family so that all can achieve success.” This is done by providing outstanding service to both internal and external members. A key component of this service is to identify the needs of each member you assist and suggest the credit union products and services that will improve their financial life.

In addition, assists members and potential members with their financial needs, opens and closes membership accounts, savings and checking accounts, processes account transactions, resolves problems, provides assistance and information regarding products and services in‑person or by telephone, mail, email, or other electronic means.

• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
• Strong Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to assess and evaluate financial data
• Excellent Communication skills with the ability to provide clear guidance and foster strong member relationships
• Customer service experience and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry is an advantage
• Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
