Overview of Position and Compensation Opportunity

SIGNFORCE is a locally owned and operated company, unlike any other commercial sign company serving the Upstate of South Carolina, North Carolina and beyond. At SIGNFORCE, we have the most talented graphic designers, production staff and installation crew in the sign industry.

We have the capability to manufacture anything our customers need, from a simple panel sign to LED powered channel letters, lighted shop signs to 3 dimensional signs. We have in-house tools and capabilities including but not limited to CNC routers, a laser engraver/cutter, large format full color digital printers, metal production and welding equipment and all of the equipment necessary for screen printing.

We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven Installer to join our team. People with carpentry, construction and customer service experience are a great fit for this position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Installing traffic signs such as stop signs, yield signs, speed limit signs, and no parking signs
Installing signs that direct drivers to businesses, events, or attractions within the community
Installing commercial signs such as neon signs or painted wall signs
Installing real estate signs such as "For Sale" signs or "Open House" signs
Installing street name signs and other types of non-traffic signs such as those displaying store hours or directions to businesses or attractions
Installing temporary signage such as construction site signs or banners for special events
Installing or removing banners and flags for advertisements, sports events, or other purposes
Successfully Loading and transporting all signage, tools, hardware, and materials to the location safely
Preparing the site for installation by removing old signage, preparing the surface or structure for new signage, and securing the electrical connections.
Ensuring the effective measurement, placement, connection, and installation of all signage.
Mounting and installing all signs in accordance with all safety protocols.
Clearing debris and materials from the site after each installation.
Clearing debris and materials from company vehicles and trailers after each installation.
Troubleshooting and performing maintenance and repairs to signs, as needed.
Operating and maintaining the tools and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
Maintaining all necessary communication with the Director of Operations and Office Manager and Graphic Designer daily. This includes properly taking completion photos and emailing them accordingly.
Properly completing all required paperwork as it pertains to logs, vehicle inspections, work order and timecards daily.
Ensure all members of installation team observe safety compliance rules and regulations
Treat subordinates, peers and superiors with dignity, respect and professionalism to foster mutual trust
Train new install team members
Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Must have a High School Diploma or GED certificate
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Background check and drug screening will be required
Able to lift 50 pounds
Knowledge on basic shop tools (drill, saw, level, etc.)
Prior experience working on ladders both inside and outside is preferred
Friendly and positive attitude and demeaner
Knowledge of electrical wiring, metal fabrication and welding are a plus.
Good knowledge of various types of signs including vinyl, channel letters, pylons, and monuments.
A sound understanding of the applicable installation methods, materials, and safety measures.
The ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Physical fitness and able to perform strenuous labor including lifting, climbing, working at various heights.
Able to work at various heights in the air without concern.
The ability to work in harsh weather conditions.
Willingness to work during evenings, weekends, and overnights as needed.
