Position Summary
We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker's / Retail Sales Associate's pay is based on factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
- Greets and interacts with customers to develop a rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains the display of merchandise.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods (as required by law).
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products stored externally.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to serve customers and work as part of a team; can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to work at multiple locations as needed by business.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

- The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. More details provided during the interview process.
