Position Summary
Walmart is seeking an experienced manager to lead and develop teams, drive financial performance, and create a culture of belonging and high customer‑service standards. The role focuses on team leadership, customer experience, financial management, and compliance with Walmart policies.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop teams effectively through teaching, training, and listening to associates across store operations.
- Communicate and collaborate with all store associates and leaders, driving on‑site initiatives, merchandising, and business plans.
- Introduce and lead company change initiatives, setting expectations and guiding implementation of business solutions.
- Model exceptional customer‑service standards through the One Best Way (OBW) service model, supporting customer service initiatives, community outreach, and issue resolution.
- Drive financial performance by reviewing profit‑loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring merchandise presentation and inventory flow.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, performance management, and recognition.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and support the Open Door Policy and company integrity standards.
- Build high‑performing teams that embrace belonging, respect diversity, and promote continuous learning.
- Attract and retain top talent, empower staff, and recognize contributions.
- Serve customers and members by putting the customer first, making data‑driven decisions, balancing priorities, and leading continuous improvements with new technology.
- Act with integrity, uphold Walmart values, and support the company's regenerative mission.
- 2 years of college graduation or 1 year of retail experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training (applicable for firearms facilities).
- Current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility (applicable for ammunition only facilities).
- Completion of all required job‑training and assessments.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or equivalent, and a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership (Live Better U).
- General work experience supervising five or more direct reports with responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
Competitive base pay $65,000–$80,000 per year with annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation may include regional pay zone differences and complex structure considerations.
