Operations Manager
Overview
The Dealer Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Dealer Operations team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This role provides leadership, coaching, and performance management to a team of specialists supporting dealer-related processes, including dealer collections, processing of dealer payments and dealer complaints. The supervisor partners cross-functionally with internal departments and external dealer partners to drive operational excellence and deliver a superior dealer experience.
EssentialFunctions
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of the Dealer Operations team to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
- Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify process inefficiencies and partner with leadership to implement improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to promote skill development and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and deliver constructive feedback.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex or sensitive dealer issues.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that encourages engagement and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealer partners.
- Interact with other specialty team members and support groups throughout the organization.
- Support dealer inquiries and resolve escalated issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with Sales, Funding and other departments to ensure seamless dealer support.
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities for operational efficiency and improved dealer satisfaction.
- Assist reporting manager in helping build dealer oversight reports.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with analysts to ensure proper implementation and accuracy of reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of auto finance processes, funding and title requirements are a plus.
- Experience implementing collection strategies a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills / Microsoft Access skills a plus.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to multi task.
- Good phone communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills to maintain work volume.
- Strong negotiation/influencing skills.
This position requires supervisory responsibilities of a team comprised of Dealer Operations and Payment Processing team members.
Work Environment and Physical DemandsThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a Full-Time position. Days and hours of work vary.
TravelThis position requires no travel.
