The AI Engineer I develops and supports production-ready AI and agentic systems. This role combines software engineering and applied AI, working within responsible AI and governance frameworks while collaborating across teams.
Responsibilities- Build, maintain, and optimize AI-powered applications and agent workflows
- Integrate AI systems with APIs, third-party tools, and internal services
- Implement prompt engineering and AI orchestration strategies
- Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve AI system performance
- Follow AI governance, documentation, and responsible AI standards
- Support deployment and operation of AI systems in production
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in AI, machine learning, or software engineering
- Strong Python skills; familiarity with Java and/or Type Script
- Experience with LLM APIs, AI frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of REST APIs, databases (SQL/No
SQL), Docker, and Git - Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with generative AI, LLMs, or AI agent frameworks
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, or vector databases
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and microservices
- Exposure to AI safety, testing, or governance practices
