Role OverviewThe Senior Systems Analyst will develop, enhance, and support the SCADA (Ignition) and MES (Sepasoft) applications for Spartanburg NGDV assembly, supporting daily production system uptime.
Key ImpactThese duties are high‑impact but not exhaustive; other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities- Develop and modify SCADA/MES systems, including tag generation, report development, and configuration.
- Conduct SCADA/MES operator training as needed.
- Provide on‑hand production support to keep systems online during 1st shift.
- Collaborate with personnel on MES integration enhancements with PLCs, JDE, and other systems.
- Support development of functional specifications, test cases, and design documentation.
- Support development of control standards for NGDV.
- Oversee environment protection by establishing operational guidelines, ensuring data security and integrity.
- Assists in deployment of technologies beyond SCADA/MES.
- Experience with Ignition and Sepasoft.
- 3‑5 years as a SCADA or MES engineer or developer.
- Knowledge of Rockwell or Siemens PLCs, OPC‑UA, and MQTT.
- Experience with Python, Java, Jython, C, C++, C‑plus‑plus, SQL or other languages.
- Proficiency with Windows Servers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Experience with REST, SOAP, XML‑RPC, JSON‑RPC, Web Services, etc.
- Understanding of OEE concepts and application to MES.
- Knowledge of Track & Trace technologies for MES.
- Understanding of ERP concepts related to work orders, routings.
- Understanding of production scheduling.
- Experience managing code repositories such as Git Hub.
