RN - Med Surg Tele

• Work as part of a Resource Pool floating to all med/surg tele units, cardiac stepdown, and overflow areas
• Patient ratio of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
• 36-hour orientation required
• Must complete 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Float between Church Street and Mary Black Campus locations within facility scope
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day of orientation - one chance only
• 2 years of Med Surg Tele experience preferred, will consider 1+ year experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• EPIC experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to work with adults and geriatric patients
• Care for patients with various diagnoses across med/surg tele units
• Utilize skills including telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, IV management, heparin protocols, and cardiac care
• Attendance policy enforced - more than 2 missed shifts per 13-week contract may result in cancellation
• Must complete lab work within 24 hours of signing contract
• All requested time off must be submitted with initial application
