Novant Health Physical Therapy is currently looking for a physical therapist (PT) to join our team.
The PT obtains patient’s medical history; administers treatment pursuant to the physical referral; completes all appropriate documentation in the patient’s medical records; instructs patient and family members in necessary patient care, assists in the total rehabilitation of the patient; and assists in the training of support personnel and in the presentation of in-service programs.
Do You Have What It Takes?Qualifications:
PT
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
- Current state license in South Carolina
- Current CPR certificate
- Effective personal and interpersonal communication skills. Able to document patient care in patient medical records, operate equipment and dispense patient care supplies
- Ability to use evidence‑based practice guideline to treat orthopedic and neurological diagnoses/injuries
- Ability to develop treatment plans, provide quality patient care, and supervise assistants
- Ability to demonstrate competence in physical therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment
- Ability to improve and expand client relations with other medical facilities and staff
- 2 years’ experience in an outpatient setting
- Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy

PTA
- Associates degree and successful completion of physical therapist assistant program at an accredited school
- Possesses an active South Carolina Physical Therapy Assistant state license
- Possesses a current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification
- Possesses effective communications skills. Exhibits the ability to document patient care in a patient’s medical records, operate equipment and administer evidence‑based practice treatments
- Exhibits the ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Exhibits the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the medical community
- Exhibits the ability to meet the needs of the situation at hand when dealing with patient and family concerns and respond appropriately. Must remain objective during the treatment plans
- Exhibits sound judgment and competence during the performance of all duties as assigned
- Five (5) or more years of experience in an outpatient setting
