Job Description
The Process Engineer will support activities in developing, implementing, and maintaining the quality and food safety management system. This role involves reporting any quality and/or food safety issues to authorized personnel to initiate appropriate actions. The engineer will engage in problem‑solving by developing specific tests to determine process needs and conduct root cause analysis for the film extrusion line. Additionally, the role involves providing direct continuous improvement of efficiencies and successful expansion, as well as offering guidance on equipment setup and maintenance to ensure product specifications are met.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain quality and food safety management systems.
- Report quality and food safety problems to authorized personnel for action.
- Conduct in-depth requirements analysis and root cause analysis for film extrusion line.
- Drive continuous improvement of process efficiencies and support successful expansion.
- Guide and train staff on equipment setup and maintenance to meet product specifications.
- Experience in film extrusion manufacturing processes.
- Specific experience in Biax and Flat Die Film Extrusion.
- Proficiency in process improvement and continuous improvement strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
Skills & Qualifications
- Lean manufacturing certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of the packaging industry is a plus.
The position is based in a facility with a total of 20 people, including two engineers, one production manager, and the rest as production associates. The role follows a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, but requires availability to be on-call 24/7.
