Impact You’ll Own
  • Turn a sophisticated e‑beam sterilization system into a dependable production asset.
  • Configure and optimize SCADA‑based production orders to meet strict quality and regulatory expectations.
  • Drive uptime, throughput, and right‑first‑time processing through robust process controls and fast, methodical troubleshooting.
What You’ll Do Sterilization operations & process control
  • Set up/adjust daily production orders for sterilization and conveyors in SCADA.
  • Configure dosimetry, process parameters, and equipment settings to achieve validated sterilization levels.
  • Monitor trends and process data; identify deviations and drive corrective actions.
Technical ownership
  • Serve as SME for the electron‑beam accelerator and conveyor systems.
  • Maintain electrical/controls documentation and change control.
  • Diagnose complex faults using appropriate tools (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope) and support the maintenance team on tough issues.
Quality, regulatory & safety
  • Operate with a safety‑first mindset; comply with EH&S and radiation safety requirements.
  • Support ISO 9001 certification and sterilization‑relevant standards (e.g., ISO 11137, ISO/ASTM 51261).
  • Partner with Quality Engineering on investigations and CAPAs.
Improvement & projects
  • Lead/execute equipment and process improvement initiatives to increase reliability and throughput.
  • Manage projects with suppliers/contractors from concept through implementation.
  • Track emerging e‑beam/x‑ray technologies and apply relevant upgrades.
Cross‑functional partnership
  • Collaborate daily with Operations on planning and operator support.
  • Align with Supply Chain to meet demand/lead‑time targets.
  • Provide technical input to R&D/NPD for trials and process changes.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Extensive experience in industrial/manufacturing electrical & controls roles within regulated environments.
  • Hands‑on commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting of complex automation/controls systems.
  • Proficiency with SCADA and familiarity with ERP/enterprise systems for production data.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001; experience with sterilization standards (ISO 11137, ISO/ASTM 51261) is a strong plus.
  • Solid project management skills across installation, validation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with high‑energy irradiation systems (electron‑beam or X‑ray) in controlled environments.
  • Background in nuclear/defense or other safety‑critical systems.
Operating Environment
  • On‑site in a highly regulated manufacturing setting; split time between control room/office and plant floor.
  • Standard daytime hours with flexibility for commissioning, planned maintenance, and critical issue resolution.
Why This Role
  • Be the primary electrical/controls authority for a strategically important facility.
  • Direct, measurable impact on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
