Child Psychiatrist Locums Job in Northwest South Carolina

A government-supported outpatient program in northwest South Carolina is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This is a stable, well-supported role with predictable hours and no call.

Position Highlights
Monday-Friday schedule working 7.5 hour days
No call and no weekends
Outpatient setting only
Up to 12 patients per day
60-minute initial evaluations, 30-minute follow-ups
March start preferred (flexible orientation timing)
30-day credentialing

Practice Details
Primarily child and adolescent patients
Occasional adult patients when needed (adult services mirror child services)
Two days per week providing care in a school-based setting
Limited crisis walk-ins (1-2 days per month), with administrative time available
Telehealth platform available for parent consultations as needed
In-house EMR with upcoming system upgrade
Strong onsite clinical and administrative support

Candidate Profile
Board Eligible or Board Certified welcome (new graduates encouraged to apply)
Comfortable with some age crossover when required
Preference for in-person coverage
