Executive Assistant for the Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration
Spartanburg, SC – This position provides administrative assistance to the Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration and supports multiple administrative offices including Bookstore, Budget & Resource Planning, Facilities Management, University Police, Bursar’s Office, Purchasing, and Professional Development.
Type:
Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm; occasional evenings & weekends required.
Pay Range: $48,726 – $50,615 (Salary commensurate with education & experience).
Responsibilities- Maintain Vice Chancellor’s calendar and oversee day‑to‑day operations.
- Process invoice payments and expense reports through People Soft.
- Prepare financial spreadsheets, analytical reports, and business documents.
- Arrange travel and related pre‑travel support.
- Provide clerical support to Finance & Administration offices (purchasing, payment requests, etc.).
- Process payment requests for the Commission on Higher Education.
- Maintain Visa & State purchasing card account records.
- Coordinate contracts, MOUs, and FOIA request reviews with USC legal office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of related experience (or equivalent).
- Preferred: 5+ years in business management, public administration, or administrative services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service skills, and high level of organization.
- Ability to manage confidential information and handle administrative requests professionally.
