Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring all payables are processed in a timely manner; taking full ownership of the full-cycle Accounts Payable process. This position will also participate in the monthly close process.

• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation; verify approval on all invoices and check requests
• Code invoices to ensure proper account charge
• Prepare and process checks for both mail and ACH delivery
• Audit and verify employee expense reports
• Serve as the point of contact for vendor inquiries and reconciles vendor statements
• Update and maintain the general ledger
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
• Assist with Accounts Receivable functions as well.
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Proven experience working with accounts payable within a professional environment
• Prior experience working with Accounts Receivable, including billing and posting of receipts
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows based software;
