Job Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Scheduling and Dispatch (Standard: Complete all actions to schedule and dispatch Training Fleet vehicles). The contractor shall attend all required scheduling and site survey visits as the primary point of contact for vehicle usage by visiting customers.
- Vehicle Operation Control Center dispatch operations by coordinating with installation customers for vehicle forecasting and scheduling. Validates operator licenses, qualifications, and AF Forms 1800 prior to dispatch.
- Customer requests filled based on vehicle availability, customer need, and priority. Coordinate with Fleet Management office to ensure scheduled maintenance actions are completed prior to dispatch to minimize effect to customers.
- Provide Training Fleet vehicles IAW AFI 24-301, AFI 24-302, and WI/CRTC policies. Ensure appropriate vehicles are issued for the request and allow only operation within the Permissible Operating Distance (POD) as approved by WI/CRTC IAW AFI 24-301.
- Vehicle requests for operation beyond established POD must have written approval by Vehicle Management office prior to dispatching vehicles. All actions recorded in the Vehicle Operations system of record.
- Maintenance of dispatch control board to ensure uninterrupted dispatch activities in event of contract employee absence.
- Other scheduling and dispatch requirements:
Vehicle Control Program (VCP). Manage the WI/CRTC Air National Guard Base VCP and maintain a current Vehicle Control Official listing IAW AFI 24-302.
Vehicle Utilization Recording (Standard: Record all mileage and fuel utilization in Fleet Management system of record). Track all outgoing and incoming utilization for training fleet, record for each dispatch action, and report monthly miles and fuel utilization.
Air Force leased vehicle utilization monitored and rotation plan used to keep mileage within allowance determined by Vehicle Management office.
Other Vehicle Utilization requirements:
Training Fleet Vehicle Care. Responsible for all monthly operator level maintenance checks, IAW AFI 24-302. Use AF Form 1800 to record completion by no later than the tenth calendar day of each month. Vehicles washed, vacuumed, fuelled after each dispatch action, and waxed annually in line with AFI 24-302 and TO 36-1-191. Maintain work information in vehicle operations system of record.
Parking plan used to track location when not in use.
Fleet Wash Facility:
Ensure facility kept within industry standards, clean and serviceable, report discrepancies to Vehicle Management office.
Accident and Abuse:
Coordinate with base Safety, Security, and Vehicle Management to complete all required accident documents. Store documents in permanent portion of vehicle history binder and digital folder. Report vehicle damage due to operator abuse immediately to Vehicle Management office.
Government Operator Records & Licensing (Standard: Maintain accurate records. Report provided monthly). Issue and maintain records for all U.S. Air Force Motor Vehicle Operator Identification Cards. Issuance based on receipt of required forms and signatures. Maintain records in approved Vehicle Operations system. Provide monthly report of current and expired licenses. All other duties assigned.
Other Experience & Qualifications- Required
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. - Required Experience:
1‑3 years performing essential duties and responsibilities described above. - Preferred
Education & Experience:
4‑6 years managing a Vehicle Operations Program at an Air Force Base.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Perform pre‑operator checks (PMCS) on fleet vehicles.
- Collaborate with Senior Leaders and monitor program progress against plans, metrics and desired outcomes.
- Work as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office and produce deliverables that carry a "stamp of excellence".
- Adhere to and enforce corporate values, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Good communication and computer skills, fluent in English.
- Pass background investigation and periodic drug testing.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license (any state); clean driving record and current vehicle insurance coverage.
- Eligible for access to military installations following background and security checks.
- Flexibility with work schedule mandatory (including evenings, weekends, and tours of duty).
Working Environment:
Administrative office setting; occasional tour of duty during large exercises.
Physical Demands:
Long periods of sitting at desk, minor physical stamina, standing and walking, reach with hands and arms, lift up to 25 lbs, specific vision abilities required.
