Position:
Night Production Supervisor
The Night Production Supervisor is responsible for directing shift personnel in the operation of the facility, ensuring the consistent manufacture of finished products meeting all customer volume and quality requirements.
Coordinate activities within all process areas to ensure product meets scheduling and quality requirements.Work with Operators to organize and maximize the use of raw materials and rework in the production process.Monitor physical characteristics hourly. Evaluate products for specs, grits, flavor, density, mix abilities, and moisture to ensure quality standards are met.Implement and enforce safety and regulatory programs for safe facility operation.Lead and supervise production personnel, establishing education and development programs, SOPs, quality specifications, safety, and job expectations.Communicate performance and KPI metrics to the team daily.Maintain inventory accuracy and complete shift reports, coordinating with the Production Manager on record-keeping related to production, quality assurance, inventory, and planning.Oversee nightly production reporting.Collaborate with Process and Production Managers to evaluate and improve production efficiency and equipment capabilities.Assist in developing weekly/monthly production schedules and staffing plans.Maintain and improve sanitation programs, ensuring the plant remains clean and orderly.Schedule equipment repairs and preventative maintenance with the Maintenance department.Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory policies.Assist with inventory balancing during period-end and year-end.Position Requirements
- Over 2 years of management experience, preferably in a dairy processing plant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer software applications.
- Previous supervisory experience.
