Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Taltran Global is partnered with a global manufacturing organization seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations for one of its U.S. manufacturing facilities. The company is part of a larger international group that supplies innovative interior components and materials to leading automotive manufacturers and Tier-1 suppliers. This organization operates within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is known for delivering high-quality engineered products to customers across North America and globally.

The company is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and cost accounting functions for the business. This role will play a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and providing financial insights that support operational performance and efficiency. Reporting to the North America Finance Director, the Controller will partner closely with plant leadership and operational teams to improve financial visibility, optimize cost management, and support key business decisions.

This role requires a finance leader who understands manufacturing environments, including inventory management, cost accounting, and operational reporting.

• Lead the monthly and annual financial close process
• Prepare and consolidate financial reports for leadership and the parent organization
• Ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records and financial data
• Lead the financial statement audit process
  
  Maintain compliance with GAAP and corporate reporting requirements
• Strengthen and maintain internal accounting controls

• Oversee inventory accounting and inventory control procedures
• Support cost accounting activities and manufacturing cost analysis
• Monitor production-related financial metrics and cost drivers
• Ensure accuracy of financial reporting tied to operational performance
• Analyze financial data to support operational and strategic decisions

• Manage cash flow and cash management activities
• Oversee accounts receivable processes
• Administer foreign currency transactions as required
• Prepare property tax filings and regulatory reporting
• Assist with trade and regulatory reporting requirements
• Support financial reporting requirements for the global parent company
• Support the annual budgeting and planning process
• Assist leadership in developing and tracking key organizational KPIs
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency
• Standardize procedures and improve workflows across the accounting function
• Supervise and review accounting team responsibilities for accuracy and compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of Controller experience managing accounting operations
• 3–5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong cost accounting and inventory accounting experience
• Experience leading accounting operations for organizations in the $40M–$50M revenue range
• Deep understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong financial reporting and audit management experience
• Previous experience in accounting roles such as Staff Accountant, Financial Analyst, or Cost Accountant
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• CPA certification preferred but not required
