Role Summary

The Inventory & Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, control, and integrity while leading all inbound (receiving) and outbound (shipping/fulfillment) warehouse operations.

This role is a hands‑on operational leader who owns the systems, processes, and people required to move materials and finished goods efficiently, accurately, and compliantly.

This position is critical to:
  • Preventing inventory risk and production disruption
  • Maintaining shipment accuracy and customer satisfaction
  • Enforcing disciplined warehouse processes and controls
  • Scaling warehouse operations alongside UA’s growth
Core Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management & Control
  • Own overall inventory accuracy across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Establish and enforce cycle count programs, reconciliation, and root‑cause analysis
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances, shrink, and discrepancies
  • Ensure correct lot control, traceability, and labeling
  • Partner with Finance and Production on inventory audits and adjustments
  • Maintain clean, accurate inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Inbound Logistics (Receiving)
  • Oversee all inbound shipments, receiving, inspection, and put‑away
  • Ensure materials are received accurately against POs and production needs
  • Coordinate inbound scheduling with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Enforce receiving documentation, inspection, and system entry discipline
  • Reduce dock congestion, receiving delays, and receiving errors
  • Outbound Logistics (Shipping & Fulfillment)
  • Lead order fulfillment, picking, packing, staging, and shipping operations
  • Ensure shipping accuracy, documentation compliance, and on‑time delivery
  • Coordinate outbound logistics with Sales, Customer Service, and Carriers
  • Own outbound workflow efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Resolve shipment issues, mis‑picks, or delivery exceptions
  • Systems, Process & Compliance
  • Serve as primary owner of warehouse‑related workflows within the WMS
  • Develop, document, and enforce SOPs for inventory, inbound, and outbound operations
  • Train team members on systems usage, processes, and accountability standards
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory, and company policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit‑ready warehouse environment
  • Lead, coach, and hold accountable warehouse team members and leads
  • Set daily priorities and workload planning for inbound and outbound teams
  • Establish clear expectations, metrics, and performance feedback
  • Partner with Operations leadership on staffing needs, scheduling, and training
  • Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement
Key Performance Indicators (Kpis)
  • Inventory accuracy %
  • Cycle count completion & variance resolution time
  • Receiving accuracy & dock‑to‑stock time
  • Order fulfillment accuracy (% error‑free shipments)
  • On‑time shipment rate
  • Inventory adjustment frequency and root‑cause closure
  • SOP compliance and audit readiness
  • Safety incidents / near misses
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or logistics management
  • Proven experience managing inventory control in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Experience leading inbound and outbound warehouse teams
  • Strong working knowledge of WMS / ERP systems
  • High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to lead from the floor while maintaining systems‑level thinking
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in regulated, controlled, or compliance‑heavy industries
  • Familiarity with cycle‑counting methodologies and inventory audits
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience
  • Forklift and warehouse equipment knowledge
  • Experience supporting fast‑growth or scaling operations
  • Ownership mindset — treats inventory as a balance‑sheet asset
  • Process‑driven — values discipline, documentation, and repeatability
  • Operationally present — comfortable leading on the warehouse floor
  • Calm under pressure — able to prioritize and problem‑solve in real time
  • Accountable leader — holds self and others to high standards
